Farewell Rick Wright

Rick Wright, keyboard/piano player and founding member of Pink Floyd has died at the age of 65. I am in tears. Farewell Rick and thanks for all the wonderful music.

I was just watching a show where he was explaining the origins of some songs (or possibly a specific song). Interesting individual.

Although sad, they never really leave when they have compiled recordings that can always be enjoyed.

When I read the news, I was listening to Miles' "Kind of Blue" and thinking about an interview with Wright where he credited that album with some of the changes he played on "Dark Side of the Moon".

I learned of this earlier. Truly sad to me as I thought he was a brilliant musician and so hoping there'd be one more Floyd tour to see. Won't be the same. He'll be missed. May he rest in peace.

Just thinking, if there is an afterlife that's one hell of band assembled up there, huh?
