Sometimes I just can't get a jingle out of my head. They are so effective. Wouldn't it be great to create music that has such a lasting hold on people?
Sometimes in my playing while improvising a solo to a cover song I'll try to find a memorable passage, a mini jingle if you will, that will stick with not only the guys in the band but also with folks in the audience. I'm not as blatantly cheesy as the examples I've posted but the idea is somewhat the same: leave something that is memorable.
Jingle can also be a good source of income in your local market. Some advertisers and stations are on the lookout for local original music and of course they aren't going to get it for free...right?
