MCCOY TYNER’S newest, and perhaps boldest outing yet, is GUITARS, a studio throw-down with five of popular music’s most accomplished string specialists: DEREK TRUCKS, BELA FLECK, BILL FRISELL, JOHN SCOFIELD, MARC RIBOT

I actually just ordered that! Can't wait to hear it. McCoy is a brilliant pianist, and that rhythm section is about as tight as it gets with Ron Carter and Jack DeJohnette (two veterans of Miles' bands). This album seemed like a no-brainer for me to order. I suspect I will like it quite a bit.

I HAVE to get this! What a great lineup, and the preview vid in the link shows sounds I must have. Goes on the Christmas list for sure, if I can wait that long. Thanks for the tip!

EDIT: Wow, I am seeing jazz played on a 335 type, a tele, a banjo and a SG! Freekin' amazing. :master: :AOK:

Awesome! I have to order it. Have you seen how deep Scofield was into his playing? WOW!

Did they all use the same amph?

So I finally get my copy and instead of being one CD and one DVD, I got a messed up package with 2 DVD's and no CD. I am now eagerly awaiting my replacement copy. I was so excited when it came and then it turned rapidly to disappointment. I know I could have still watched the DVD but I would rather hear the music before I watch the music.

Anybody else get a copy yet?
