Just when you thought the only music that came out of Omaha, NE was Bright Eyes and Mannhiem Steamroller..............think again.
This is old school type Funk/Soul straight outta Oakland, that will make you move and groove like it was 1980 all over again. This is one of my favorite bands. And the guitar player even plays a Telecaster thru an old Twin!

Oh, on the contrary, Teleman77... In fact, our own Spudster posted a thread entitled "The Funk Thread." Lots of great stuff there!

Here's a link: http://www.thefret.net/showthread.php?t=6309&highlight=the+funk+thread

Lots of good funkiness goin' on with the vid you posted. Good stuff (and the Tele/Twin combo is cool, too)!:AOK:

I love the funk, teleman! This band sounds great. I dig Prince, Tower of Power, Parliament, etc, big time.

Uh oh, I heard a bit of Prince tune in there! He could come after them with a blowtorch now!

Have you checked our huge Funk thread here on the fret?

Actually, I do not listen a lot to Funk, but this doesn't mean that I am not fascinated by it in a way. My former boss was a huge Tower Of Power fan and so I heard theri music almost every day playing out of his office.

The above posted clips are pretty cool!

They build mostly basses. Mine is a Genesis series. That just means instead of having a solid graphite neck it uses regular tone woods built around a graphite frame. It's a really stable guitar. The neck never need adjusting (although it does have an adjustable truss rod). I like it.

I don't want to hijack the thread so here is a link to the guitars description. (http://www.modulusguitars.com/v2/products/genesis/index.html)
