I've been listening to Todd Rundgren's new album "Arena" lately and I have to say that it's a wonderful change and highly enjoyable album.
Unlike previous solo albums and Utopia albums this one is rather stripped down and rock and roll. It's a more raw and in your face sound than anything I've ever experienced from him on other than just a few select songs. On Arena there is only one heavily orchestrated song. The rest ROCK!
All the songs have just a one word title. I'm not sure what he is going for with that but it works for me. I think that if people will listen to Arena they might be surprised that this old guy is still incredibly creative, energetic and rocks like a guy half his age.
Check out youtube for the latest Todd videos from his current Arena tour.
Thumbs up from me.:AOK: but I like prog too.
