Today (Oct 3) was the birth date of Stevie Ray Vaughan (b. 1954).

Seems a good day to pull some SRV out of the collection and give it a spin and/or to pick up your electrics and play some blues.

R.I.P. SRV

OK, now I'm a little sad. We miss you, Stevie.

I always like to think he's up there somewhere trading licks with Hendrix and Albert King. Where the intonation is always perfect and a string never breaks, no matter how far you bend it!! RIP, Stevie. Love you, man!!

Yep, I miss him too. It would have been fun to see where he would have gone. Thanks for the music Stevie!

One of the all time greats.

This is one of my favorite SRV clips. 12 strings, acoustic, blues and wonderful!!!

I was lucky enough to see SRV twice in concert before he died...once with Jeff Beck. It is a sad shame hes gone.

This is my current fav SRV song/clip, well its not his, but he is playing along with it

Saw him in 1984 at the very front of the stage and I miss him every single day since he left. Heard the 12 string acoustic version of Pride and Joy live on the radio today during lunch while sitting in my car. I ate, smiled and thought of you all. Thanks Stevie Ray.
