I think in the case of Lennon I can forego my usual "birthday thread" paragraph explaining who the person is to those who might not know. If you don't know who John Lennon was, why are you wasting your time reading this thread when there is a world of great music you haven't heard ;)

John is greatly missed by me and many more. One of those artist who left a stamp on the rest of the music world and could have been a leader today.

an incredible loss....i got to visit the lennon room at the hard rock cafe here in orlando and sat on john's couch....gave me chills when i did....the photo above the couch was one of john sitting on it....
