I was just noodling around with my Floyd and my US Higain settings on my AD30VT, playing some old Metal Method exercises I haven't played in ages. Those setting produce a bright, aggressive metal tone with the Screamin' Demon in my Floyd.

For kicks (actually, I wasn't even thinking why) I tried the same settings using all three pickups on my Floyd at the same time. Since they're all in parallel with each other, the net output is quite low. I was greeted with an almost Clapton-esque woman tone! I was floored. Depending on how hard I picked, it could either be very clean, bluesy distortion, or rock distortion. It's not as creamy (pardon the pun) as Clapton's was, but it was surprisingly close. Rolling off the volume ever so slightly, got it even more "womany" but at the loss of quite a bit of clarity.

It's not a combination I would have ever thought to try, but sometimes cool things happy accidentally.
