I'm not one for advocating hurling your amp through the air but this V50 came away unscathed. Notice the mark left on the floor...

That is a great idea. The amp will sound "vintage" much quicker that way.

Haha, I knocked a Sovtek Mig 50H head off a 3.5' 1x15 vintage Kustom cab, onto a concrete floor covered in 1/8" hard linoleum tiles, once.
A screw on the corner protector popped out.
That was the only damage.
Don't drink too much before striking the stage and load-out kids.
Unless you own Sovtek, or, apparently, Crate.

After this weekend...it doesnt surprise me, I never would have figured a Deville would be able to handle a 4 foot drop either!:thwap:
