Here is a little noodle with my Valve Junior and Strat on the neck pickup with a touch of reverb. Not much but I haven't put anything up in a while and did a quicky.

Nice playing, I liked that clip.

Your VJ sounds warm and spanky.

Have you done any mods to it?

Sounds great M! I love all the member clips that have been going up recently. One of the best attributes of this forum in my opinion.

Cheers

Nice clean neck tone there, M. That amp is nice and quiet, too. Sounds very good--well done. :AOK: :dude:

Thanks guys. I really enjoy this amp every time I play it. I did just about every mod you could do to one and I have pretty much forgot most of them. I was into it really heavy about a year ago and got most of my info off the Epiphone forum which has changed and no longer has the postings.
Here are a couple pics, this is version 2, if you are curious on something let me know I should remember after a little delving into my notes and pictures. I did go way overboard on the power supply capacitance just because I had the caps laying around and was curious what if any difference it would make to have this much. I have not played it since without them so I can't really say, all I know if I like what I hear and it is extremely quiet. I do want to thank all of you who have mentioned your mods as I have picked up some from DVM and others here as well.

+1.

I'd like to hear it cranked as well.

Here are a couple files cranked to about 8 but I had to use a Mass attenuator.:D

I am not real happy with the distortion it is too coarse to me but it is still fun:rockon:

Here is a pic of my board and guitar. The Strat is a Highway One body and a Squier neck. The pickups are US Fender Vintage reissue and the pickguard is mint but looks like white in the picture. The board was set with just reverb everything else was off. Neck pickup as before.

Hello warren0728,

I think you could do the mods for reducing hum but you have to learn about the dangerously high voltages inside the amp chassis. I am hesitant to suggest you doing it because of this and would recommend that you have a local tech do it.

Thank you for the kind words.
