I used to prefer it too, but it always seemed that I was always on the backside of the curve for hardware, and the more I updated my system, the more it screwed up on me.

I'm now a proud 360 owner and haven't ever opened my 05 computer.

Just finished my first multiplayer deathmatch map for the game and submitted it to Ubisoft for rotation on servers. Ubisoft includes a killer map editor on all platforms and makes it a breeze to create gorgeous maps with lots of depth and detail. I take longer than I should to create because I keep going back to add all kinds of minute details from bumps in a road, artifacts creation, to even the look of the foliage. :thwap:

Here's a little walk through of my creation. The map is called Killing Fields.

Thanks, Justa. I use Vista so that would be a big YES. It's the easier editor I've ever used. It does the bulk work for you in a hurry leaving you to scrutinize over the little details that makes your map unique. I can't rave enough about it.

Man, I feel bad saying this but:

While waiting for Cod5 to arrive I went out and got FarCry2 fo $50.00.
It is in my Opinion the WORSE dang game I got!!

I am sorry StingX.. the driving is fun for all of 5-10 minutes.. great looking breeze on the trees.. but the play itself.. its all eye candy.

First, you have to use that darn cell phone and a map most time going from place to place.. the fights inbetween are just terrible.. the AI is as stupid as a rock.. Then even with a machingun you have to shoot these guys 100 times before they die.. while 4 others are shooting you and you live..

I loved Farcry... this one just makes me cry..

then comes Multiplayer..my god are they still making early 90's multiplayer games? wow does it suck...even their way to join games sucks..

other than the brush fires and great windy grass this game has nothing..
I really wanted it to be a good one... really... it's just that bad!
Your driving looks nice.. but I wanted a game with action and realistic.. this is a joke.

COD:World at War just has a beta out with 3 maps and it already blows this right out of the water.

I could not suggest this to anyone.. it's that bad.. and I play alot of FPS games...

Our next game here at la casa de kazz will be Guitar Hero 4 "World Tour" just have to get it loaded on the hard drive for our Playstation 2....We buy the discs, load them to the drive and then put the disc away for safe keeping. Playing off a hard drive also seriously decreases the load times :-)


And well modding a PS2 is just plain fun LMAO

Sorry it didn't meet your expectations. I am having a blast with single AND multiplayer online. I bought it because it is, IMHO, a good standalone game that's interesting and challenging to play. Same vein as COD4. Game designers can't please everyone I suppose.

Heh, about the only way to kill'em... sometimes not even then..
The AI is terrible in this game as is the Multiplayer IMHO..

BUT.. I must Recant..

I been stuck playing this game for days now..
the single player is addictive although very repetitive..
forget the cars..jump on those boats man..it's a blast..
boat to radio tower.. get contract.. boat to target. boatride into sunrise..
The sleeping now makes sense.. just do attacks at night.. fish all day!
but between my crying about that, the graphics do pull you in...
the maps have a very realistic feel for a game.
im only about 20% into the whole story (if you can call it one)..
so it's huge...

The shining star in this game is actually the MAP EDITOR!

I been making these maps for years off and on.. with different games
I never seen one so powerfull! FIVE STARS!! EXCELLENT!
Within minutes you can have a terrain and sunset like none other.

This game is going to be a modding communities blessing!

there is a patch out already for some mistakes and hopefully
smarting up the system AI and improving the Multiplayer will be part of this.

Overall..it's worth 50 bucks just for the single player mode and map editor...
now to find the docs to adding music to the car radios..lol
