Saw Tom Cochrane in Camrose last night

The World Junior A Hockey Challenge is starting in my city, Camrose, today. Yesterday, after the opening ceremonies, Tom Cochrane (http://www.tomcochrane.com/) and Red Rider performed. It was pretty good. Big sound and great players. Too bad I'm going to have to miss some of the hockey games because I am going to Ontario on Thursday.

The guy who opened for them was really, really good (Shaun Verrault (http://www.shaunverreault.com/)). He is most known for playing and singing in the band Widemouth Mason. Yesterday he did a great job with just acoustic guitar and his voice. I was very impressed.

Anyway, here is Tom Cochrane's (probably) biggest hit - Life Is A Highway.

That's pretty cool Robert. Tom's been around for a while. I'm glad to see he's still doing stuff with Red Rider. I loved the early 80s stuff they did. It was just different enough to catch my ear. Did you ever expect to get such good music in Camrose?

Been a TC & RR fan for years. And Shaun/Wide Mouth Mason are freakin' awesome - the raw talent in that band has to be seen to be believed. Oh, they are from SASKATCHEWAN :AOK: (Shaun even lived in Humboldt for a while in grade school).
