The New Guitar as Part of the BGC

It arrived. I had to do a little adjusting of the saddle. It sounds great through the Epi Valve Jr.

Here it is as part of the Black Guitar Collection.

The more I play it, the more I love it. It is such an easy playing guitar. I raised the saddle ever so slightly and she plays just great now. It has to be the lowest action of all my guitars. The tone it provides for the blues is fantastic.

As I have noted on more than one occasion, I miss my Ibanez ARC300 and this fills that void. I love the size and the playability. It is already being considered as part of the "do not sell" group.

I got your e-mail and I'm glad you are happy on your end. As I said in the e-mail, do those few minor things and you should be set to go. You like the color of the Strat?

I do like the color. My wife didn't care too mch for it, but what does she know? She married me, didn't she???? :D The translucent finish on the Peavey's pretty cool too. I think I'll try to find a Fender decal to go on the Squier, just to make me feel better. The headstock looks way naked... :eek:

I agree with your first comment. That guitar's definitely a player. I had the same experience with it in that the more I played it, the better I liked the feel and playability. I may kick myself later, but now I think we're both in Grinning Mode! :D

I'm struck by the collection of body shapes - they really work nicely together as a group - black or not! I can't look too long, though, or I feel those terrible old longings creeping up out of my reptilian brain....;)

Too many carbs in my diet has made my blood too thick for me to think clearly. :thwap: I kinda liked the sound of the P90's, but just couldn't stand that hum.

It's the Idol prototype I found in Marianna, Florida about 8 months ago. It played really good, but as I said, I just can't take that d#$% hum. Strum and I worked out a little trade and I think we both came out smelling like a rose. Not that I want to be compared to a rose... :whatever:

Nice bigoldron! I love those strats, and am intrigued by that tele. If I had not already received a new guitar, I may have jumped on those guitars myself. Glad to know you like them!
