Hi!
When I record in my homestudio I use mostly
Drums On Demand drumloops and think they
are very good. Can you recommend some
other looplibrarys? the reason I like DoD
is it´s easyness to just use in an easy way in
my Cubase. There are a lot of diffrent styles,
bpm´s and fills to get the most out of them.

I use EZ Drummer - it is a great (Swedish) piece of software. Addictive Drums is probably even better, but both are great for generating loops and they come with big libraries of grooves.

I use a freeware program called 'hydrogen' to custom make drum loops. I also really like jamstudio.com for custom backing tracks.

Hydrogen users: any good source of loops, or, anybody willing to share their creations..?

I studied H briefly, need to get back to it...

Try a google search for 'free drum tab'. I've had good luck finding drum tabs for matallica, godsmack and others.

Sony's Acid Music platform has a number of drum-only loop CD's. The three that I have are Tony Brock - Rock Drummer; Siggi Baldursson's Drum Sugar; and Mick Fleetwood's Total Drumming. All are excellent.

Beta Monkey is another company offering drum loop libraries. I purchased a package deal with (3) CD's awhile back on Ebay for around $30. They sound pretty good, too.

Last but not least is Bandmates. I recently purchased their Steel Core loop CD, which focuses on modern metal / hard rock grooves. Killer drums across the board.

Another item of note: be sure you double-check for compatibility with the DAW or recording software you're using. I believe most, if not all of the above are cross-platform (Mac or PC).

Hey Nelskie, nice to see you again! :)

I use the built in drum patterns from Apple Garageband and Apple Jam Pack 1.

One thing that I found out when trying Hydrogen is that the Linux versions work much better than the Windoze version. There is a bug in importing different drum kits in the Windoze version.
