Algonquin and Robert met up today

In Kingston, Ontario. Today was the CCAA cross-country championships, and we had 7 men and 5 women race. Myself, the other coach and 12 runners flew in to Ottawa Thu night and then drove to Kingston. Algonquin showed up just before the men's race started today, so we didn't have too much time to socialize, but it was nice for two Fretters to met up! :) I'll post a photo when I get back to Alberta as proof that the meeting did indeed take place. :D

Kington is about two hours east of me, but I was headed north of there on Thursday to a bit of canoeing / camping taking advantage of the good weather. Since I was coming out on Saturday, it was a good chance to pop by and say hello.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend in Kingston, it really is a beautiful old city.

And some of the runners today... wow! The one lead runner was giving the rabbit on the bicycle a run for his money, what an athlete. It was nice to see folks giving support to the athletes that were bringing up the rear.

You probably don't consider the job complete until they leave the state, so Brian hasn't really counted yet.

The only one in Ohio is GG and we haven't met. I would like to meet the guys up in Ontario during one of my visits.

Boy, now that I think of it, there are a lot of people that are on here that I would like to meet. You guys would be surprised at how much I look like a cross between Robert Redford and Paul Newman - or stated another way, half dead.:rotflmao:

Haha, not bloody likely. Mrs. Krashpad wants to retire to someplace more beach-y some day though. Like in the Carribbean or something.

Back to the OP/topic, congrats guys. It's always fun (or at least has been in my experience) meeting online friends in real life.
