Picked up a Samson G-track (http://www.samsontech.com/products/productpage.cfm?prodID=1917&brandID=2) condensor mic/USB interface today. Must say I'm pretty jazzed with it. Great, clear response and flexible as all get out. Comes with Cakewalk Sonar LE too :AOK:
My "home studio" is coming together. I have the G-track, my Digitech GNX3000 guitar workstation, and a Yamaha digital Grand - all USB. Behringer HPS3000 headphones (not great, but not bad either), and my boat-anchor IBM Thinkpad (kinda clunky, but does the trick for now). On order is a pair of Samson M5a (http://www.samsontech.com/products/productpage.cfm?prodID=1962&brandID=2) active studio monitors and I'm thinking of purchasing Acoustica's Beatcraft drum program software (downloaded the trial and was pretty happy with it).
Now all I need is some inspiration to get some writing done :poke:
