Here's the GuitarBackingTracks.com track to Drive by Incubus.

And here's my attempt to play over it...

And here's the improved version with vocals and additional guitar work.
Thanks Spudman!

Dude, nice tone and feel. Not an easy song, either. Did I hear melody or was it just chords? Thought I heard some single notes but they were very faint if there at all. Good job!

Thanks very much Barry. I used my Ibanez AS103 through my Toneport into the PC. Never entirely happy with the amp selections which is why I'd like to try and mic for my next recording. Amp model was set to 1987 2x12 Jazz Clean which simulates a JC-120... close, but not quite there.

I love this song but realize the real dynamics of it occur with the vocals, and without them it can be a bit boring to listen to. But when I'm playing it, the vocals are clear in my head and I enjoy the rhythm of this song.

I love this song and have always wanted to add this to my set. Now I have thanks to you. So thanks.
I did a little something to your version. You did a great job on it and it inspired me.

Nice David! I really like it, and really like this song as well. For some reason, I think our musical tastes overlap quite a bit. Thanks for sharing your clip and adding to the member clips section. I agree that is one of the very best parts of the fret!

And Spudley, well man, you just rock. Did you use your vocal harmonizer machine? Thanks for sharing and inspiring. I may have to learn this too!

Spud, thanks so much for doing that!... I loved it :bravo: , and the guitar you filled in was perfect. I'm hoping we can do more of this... made my night, so an honest 'Thank you' is in order.

Thank You!
David
