Dentist's waiting room, this morning, there was that children's book on the table.
I picked it up and started reading: " Mush, a Dog from Space"
Very funny stuff! Charming, without trying to be cute, writer does bring you into the story.
Boy finds this ordinary dog in the woods, but it turns out the dog describe herself as being a "mushamute" from space. She (it's a 'she" dog) can make BLT sandwiches and love a donut and coffee in the morning!
One of great segments is when dog and boy set up the 'interview" to get the parents to accept the dog in the family...
Borrow the book from the local library, pretending it's for your kid...:D
