Anyone have a lead on where I might be able to find some backing tracks for Pretenders tunes? Doesn't really matter what track, because most are :AOK: to me.

Thanks in advance,
David

Could the lack of backing tracks be a result of the bands enforcement of copyright laws, or is there just not much interest anymore?

Just curious

I dunno, David, but I don't remember seeing any on the sites I visit.
You'd think someone somewhere would have 'em, though.
Tried a search yet?

Thanks for the help folks, but there just doesn't seem to be many backing tracks out there for the Pretenders (for free anyway)

However there seems to be plenty for Primus if anybody wants to play along with 'Wynona's Big Brown *e*v*r'

Can you really remove vocals, etc, from recordings and make your own, or do those things work?
Just asking........... I'm sure you've got tapes/cd's around.

I've got quite a few Pretenders tunes in MP3 format, but it's the guitar I'd want removed, not the vocals. I'm just mustering the nerve to post clips here, and I'm a long way from posting home Karaoke :D

Never say never though...

Only one song though.... you could always buy one of those fancy Jamvox thingies and remove the guitar with that.

I've been looking for some Pretenders tracks as well, particularly "Brass in Pocket" and "Talk of the Town," but not much luck....
