View Full Version : PRS Mira arrived last week

I've been saving up, and finally bought the Mira. I'm very happy with it on all counts, except that my playing has a ways to go.

Congrats djmcconnell!! Very nice looking guitar, I am curious what does the mini switch do? Coil split? For both hums maybe?

Yes, the switch is a coil tap for either or both pups (based on the position of the 3-way blade switch).

Gives a nice single-coil kinda sound that made the guitar really appealing to me since I wanted that flexibility.

Thanks for the nice comments.

I really like the sound, but since I'm really more of an acoustic guy, I'm not sure how I'd best describe it. I've heard on the street that PRS tried to replicate '61 SG sound, but I don't have much of point of reference on that.

Thats very nice looking. I wasnt sure about the scratchplate design when I first saw the Mira but its deffo grown on me.
