The kids and wife were asking me yesterday what I would like for Christmas. I tend to just go and get what I want while I am out shopping for gifts for the family.

However, my list consisted of things I spoke of in recent weeks.

DiMarzio Pups

Some speakers for building a cab for the Epi Valve Jr

Soldering Station

Strings and picks

Of course these are things that I am really not prepared to wait until 12/25 (especially pups and soldering equipment).

The ES335 is on the list, but that tends to interfere with things like "house payment".

So, what sort of things are on your list. The idea of gifts on the holiday is - you receive them if you've been good, apparently people like Spud and a few others have back-up plans.

Nothing here. I have lots of 'wants', but very few 'needs'.

There's a nice guitar shop in Toronto that had some decent items on sale after Christmas last year, so I may have a look at what they offer this year.

I'll be happy with maybe a DVD, CD, and a book or two.

Cheers,
David

Santa is also getting "the house" some bongos and some percussion instruments to allow some others to join in the fun of making music.

And I forgot - Santa has already with the assistance of Duh Voodoo Man gotten Mr. Gil a fabulous hand built phaser - Phasers To STUN :bravo:

Gil

PS Edited to add the Phaser :thwap:

I have a few wants, but very few needs (really none) as well. I am putting the MXR Carbon Copy analog delay on my list, and may put some books, esp. Mark Wein's on my list as well. I will also put some DVD/CD's on my list. I want to go back and find the Pearl Jam live DVD that StingX recommended, and maybe a Who one, and I can't think of the others right now. I also will ask for some new CD's as well. Small stuff. Last year was a bigger year with much gear acquisition at our house for music in general. We don't really need much this year and are planning on keeping it more simple.

Speaking of CD's and DVD's, don't forget you can get stocking stuffers at http://www.justthedisc.com/

The person on the receiving end would probably want more tings to listen to rather than packaging to read.

With the economy in the shape it's in, posting good buys should be helpful to fellow fretters.

My wife asks me what I want for Christmas and I say, I have no idea. I can think of a ton of stuff that I can't justify. I've seriously been looking at one of these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=140285119809

to record with, but I really don't know why.

I'll probably end up asking for strings, picks, another stand, etc.

I asked mine today "what's our gift limit this year ?"
she replyed with " Hmmm...why ? do you need annother guitar ?":)

I'll be more than happy with some strings, annother stand, ect..
we usually spend way more on friends and family gifts than on ourselves.

( now,,,If I could catch a deal on a Korg Pandora  )

I too have wants but this year I suspect that my computer upgrade that Kodiak is helping me build and some music CD or DVDs will be about it. I want to be able to record some clips after Christmas but I'm ashamed to attempt it after the great playing that Shiner, and CB have recorded. I might come up with something soon.

Sometimes the "we" overrules the "me", especially when it's "her" accounting for 90% of the "Democratic" vote

If I get 10% then I'm having a good day, or I'm in somebody else's house.

My wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told her nothing. Then I started thinking that usually results in things I don't want, so I gave her this
