I played one of these at Best Buy today.

The thing played very sweetly unplugged. I liked the neck & it rang beautifully.

I then played it through a Princeton Reverb Reissue & was quite happy with the magnetics, although I've never really played a tele-style guitar so I couldn't compare it to others. I played a bit with the piezo, but not enough to have formed an opinion.

It was well made & has style.

They are not bad guitars, but aren't they just BUTT ugly?

That looks really interesting. Did it sound like a Tele? I wish it had a wider nut width.

It's not blasphemy on my planet to tell the truth ;).

I tell you, it has a cool vibe in person.

I've got one and its ok.The neck feels good but its poplar and the climate here changes hot dry summer, cold dry winter and so does the relief in the neck change with the weather. The pickups are ok,piezo is fun.Over all you could buy 2 sx style guitars from Rondo and be twice as happy.Just my 2 cents.Sumi:D

Thanks for the input sumi. I didn't have much plugged in time with it. I also didn't realize that the neck was poplar. It played very sweetly unplugged.

I think I can appreciate its fugliness, I think it needs some fret inlays though.

Now I like most guitars (not a big fan of the RR style Vs), and I like Teles, but the Parker guitars...nope. Not for me.

I hated the look of Parkers when they first came out. Now, they appeal to me in a quirky sort of way.

I wouldn't buy it, but I don't dislike the guitar in any way.

That's the exact impression all parkers got on me (ugly looking), and from there i started a love-hate relantionship.
I did my homework on parker guitars and when i least expected was captivated by them... sold my Squier M-80 (great guitar BTW) and bought a Parker PM20 wich is more of an LP style guitar... i was deciding between this P-36 and the PM20.
I've just received it last week, and it's a great guitar. has humbuckers with coil-tap option.

Just in case someone doesn't know other Parker shapes, here's my PM20.
No funky crooked arm here... more like an LP style shape.

Bulkier headstock... same shape but not as thin as the P-36
