Artec Pedals

I bought a Washburn Soloist Distortion pedal from a guy over at the BYOC forum. The Washburn is a rebranded version of the Artec Soloist Distortion. I got it for $20 shipped. I was pleasantly surprised, it sounds great. I was figuring on pretty marginal sound for $20, but I was really knocked out.

Those look like excellent values, if they sound half as good as the demo clips. Then again, I've noticed that I never seem to be able to make ANYTHING sounds as good as the demo clips. I must be buying defective equipment. Yeah, that's the ticket.... :rolleyes: ;)

Agree with DVM ,sounds good ,i went to the site ,most of these pedals have realy nice tone & they re true bypass too, but we' re never convice of the truth of these demos..The guy does play awesome..
A review would be nice

It was a long time ago, but it the pedal had a grey housing (plastic), a blue plastic pedal and it simply said "OVERDRIVE" in capital letters. No brand or anything. I couldn't have paid more than $10 or $15 for it.

Sounded awesome with my Lotus pointy headstock guitar and Sears amph.:D This was back in the late 80s.

If that uses the standard switch then it is easy to replace and cheap. I had to do it to my TS9 and it was very simple to do. Before you do though try a shot of Deoxit or similar contact cleaner.

I like the look and sound of these. Im currently looking at one if the blues overdrive pedals on ebay uk, this site may have swung it. The crazy metal and big dots tuner have gone on the GAS list too
