Im tempted by a Peavey Generation Triple single in sunburst with a maple neck on blowout at £99 UK. For space reasons I might have to consider losing the gen EX HSS I have (black one/rosewood neck) to ebay. SHould I bother? its a lovely looking thing a 'proper' triple single like the nashville tele I crave.....

For the price I think they are a nice guitar, but I would also look to see what you can get a Squier or low end Fender for.

I had the Peavy and thought it was a good guitar, but I'm not a big enthusiast of the Tele.

I've got 3 of those. I did get them for a better price than what you posted. See if the dealer will come down some on price. Story is that they weren't selling very well so they radically dropped the price. That's when I got mine. Absolutely a quality guitar for that price though. The only thing is that unless you mod it you wont be able to get the neck/bridge combo sound.

Easily fixed with a ridiculously simple mod (http://www.thefret.net/showthread.php?t=2897) (particularly with a Tele-style control plate!) that you can do for under $10. Not only do you then get the characteristic bridge-neck Tele combo tone, but as a bonus, you also pick up the interesting all-3-pickup combo with the push/pull switch up and the 5-way set at position 4.

BTW, about that Nashville Tele you've been lusting after--too bad you're across the pond:
