That article was written by Dave Hunter, who really knows his stuff.

I'd also recommend his book:

It's a lot like the article but more in depth. It uses schematics to show you how an amp actually works.

Tung, I was looking at that book the other day on Amazon.com, it seems to be a great book.

Good interview with Hartley Peavey as well in that issue.
