I used to get that Cafe Campus Blues here as well but I no longer do. I used to really like the blues guys they had on. Is that still going in Quebec?
It was kind of like an Austin City Limits, and had a lot of cool blues guys.

Well, I haven't made the bar/club scene in a long time, but we use to have this guy that was popular in the local scene with a 3 piece band.

Not sure what happened to him, but maybe you've heard of him.

I don't know how I forgot this, Mark Verba with Deja Voodoo Band

Here is their MySpace page, the last video (just above the band listing) is a little of his playing.

Mark actually is an instructor where I use to take lessons.

Steve Hill is definitely amazing, but from a style preference I like Jimmy James.

Michael Hornbuckle is IMHO the best Denver Colorado blues guitar player. The Hornbuckle Brothers Band http://www.garageband.com/mp3player?|pe1|S8LTM0LdsaSiYFew

I love the way he plays guitar and I try to play with the same intensity as he does on this song.

I live in Tokyo, so I guess the shred guy is still Marty Friedman. He's been living here for a few years, speaks Japanese. He had his own TV show for a while. He often appears on TV variety shows as the band guitarist.

I just got done listening to them. I got to say they are very good! If they ever get to the Denver area I'll go see them.
