What are you going to buy if you win the raffle?

I am thinking of using the money towards this:

My only win was a cross that glowed in the dark - it was a sign.

OK, I'll venture out and make a "what if" gesture. IF (and that's a mighty big IF) I win, then I'm thinking either putting a little with it to get one of those MIM Strats from Sweetwater or finding a sem-hollow like a Washburn HB35 or similar 335 copy. Oops, I just jinxed myself by actually dreaming about winning. :thwap:

Well, I just sent mine in...and I have no idea what I would do if I were to win. Anybody know anything about these?

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ValveSr/

I'd love to have a good tube amp with reverb, although I don't necessarily need way major volume.

Although I'd really like to have a resonator too.

Pffft.

Oh Robert you are so silly:rotflmao:

Nice ideas all. I was thinking of a Vox DA5 portable amp. Or maybe a Guitar Fetish semi hollow tele. What I would really get a kick out of would be a DVM (Special Edition) Zonkin' Yellow Screamer with some sort of (The Fret.Net winning raffle) decal on it.:D

I'm getting one either way, but the extra $$ sure would help. Unfortunately, Sweetwater doesn't sell them....

And if I don't win, I hope you do, M29! A "special edition" ZYS is quite doable.... :D

unless, of course, I have to bow to the pressure of Fretter suggestions.

I put a vid up w/ mine in member clips.......really good amp.
I've hooked it up to a 2x12 cab and it rocks the house.
The vid's here if you wanna hear it through the little 10" speaker

.....I'll try and get one made w/ the 2x12 sometime-whole 'nother animal that way......so much louder it's unreal!

Hmm, either a good tele (maybe a CV, but maybe a good used ASAT Tribute, I like them too.), or a Peavey Vypyr amph to keep at the office, or a Blackheart Little Giant. I would like to get a head and save the extra for a decent cab. Those are the three top candidates.

Those are good choices, SVL....... but do you have a banjo or bagpipes???
You need to think this through before becoming an impulse buyer, 'ya know?:rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Well, Shakey pics took down my favorite banjo vid (Neil busking in Glasgow back in the 70s. Old Laughing Lady), but maybe there were some bagpipes the vicinity come to think of it. I'd say a cheap mandolin before either of those though. ;) I have plenty of good impulses. I could spend it on other "gear" and get some really good backcountry AT touring bindings like these:

http://www.thebackcountry.net/cart/product.php?productid=22465 to put on a pair of these:

http://pistehors.com/backcountry/wiki/Gear/Elan-M-777 (Sweet allmountain fat skis)

to go here: http://www.techimo.com/photo/showphoto.php/photo/8693/size/big/cat//ppuser/131640 "The Cross", Galena Summit, Idaho

using these:

Nope, music gear, buddy, music gear..........
Seriously, do you have a set of harmonicas and a good neck trap (holder) for them?
You need to get ready for the solo thing...... think Dylan, Neil, etc.
You know you wanna, and I know you can. :D
edit.... I see you threw that NY up there.....did you ever hear the haunting acoustic version he did touring the college circuit?
Crack kills........

sunvalleylaw
January 9th, 2009, 12:36 AM
Nope, I have no harmonica or neck holder. But let's see who wins first. I stand with my original three impulses at this point. :)

EDIT: I don't know that I have seen the NY one you are referring to Glenn. Turn me on to it sometime.

Man, these posts are totally out of sync!:D :D
(I think Gil's gonna win anyway, he really needs that Super Champ XD).
I think I've got an extra harp if you want it, let me know. ( I didn't spit in it or nothin', honest...)

.......I was thinking of a Vox DA5 portable amp...........What I would really get a kick out of would be a DVM (Special Edition) Zonkin' Yellow Screamer I picked up a DA5 for camping over the summer and it's grown into my regular bedroom amp. Great, versatile sound, battery-portable and a second channel for vocals..... that's a nice mix.

I've also got a craving for one of DVM's Screamers. I've been thinking about it for a while now so whether I get lucky in the raffle or not I plan to be a proud owner soon. Watch for my email Vood.

I have a DA5 - great little amp - I use it everywhere - for a low-powered, battery/line powered amp - you can't go wrong. It has some really nice voices. At least IMHO :D

Pffft. Do they exist? They sort of disappeared from the landscape.

I knew that Vood was going for the Egnater Rebel, so I checked Sweetwater as well. No Egnater, no Blackheart.

I've been lusting for a cab for my Champion 600, but I looked on Sweetwater & nothing struck my fancy. I'm leaning toward a cab or a CV tele.

Something else that struck my fancy is a real Fender maple neck for my Strat Highway One body. Now that would be nice because I don't know if I will ever have the money to spend on that. Sorry to hog the thread.

As I understand it, the Egnater Rebel is sold through an exclusivity deal with the MF empire (MF, GC, Music123, etc.).
