    The passion and love for music can overcome many difficulties. This is a testament to that.

    Internationally touring guitar player Tony Melendez performs "Let It Be" while on vacation Tuesday, July 24, 2007, in a condominium on South Padre Island. Melendez was born without arms.

      I had the chance to play with Tony Melendez several years ago. One of my friends knows him very well and asked him to play a concert for our church. When he arrived for the concert he asked if I would play some rhythm behind him for a few songs , and I was thrilled to do it. I was amazed when we were rehearsing the songs because he could tune a guitar with his feet faster than I could with my hands. He was a very nice guy, and truly inspiring.
