Well, my first reaction was that much as I love PJ it's not really in my wheelhouse. My second thought was that may be why I'm stuck in a rut lately.

Sounds good. The Katana is a great platform. I had a couple back in the day and let them go -- wish now I had kept one. What settings are you using on

  • AERO - EKKO from Aalberg Audio

I was walking around at NAMM one day, and I was in the lighting and audio gear section. Not the guitar area, in other words, but I saw a guitar player standing there whom I recognized. It was the amazing Jake Hertzog. He has been writing a column in a guitar mag called "Hey Jazz Guy", so I called out "Hey Jazz Guy!" to see if it indeed was him. Sure enough, he responded right away! He's a super nice fellow, and a fantastic jazz-rock type of player.

He was there supporting Aalberg Audio, a Norwegian company. Turns out they have very interesting products. To me, this was one of the most interesting effects units I saw at NAMM.

What's cool about it? That you can control the parameters of the effects via a bluetooth device, which you can put on your guitar, your strap, etc. There's a dial, and you can select whether you want to control the feedback, time or mix of the delay pedal. That is very smart! You don't need any footpedals to control parameters - it's all done via the blutetooth controller.

Have a look at Jake's video.
