Gibson has announced the new Gibson Firebird 7.

It's not only blue, though. The Gibson Firebird 7 also adds fatter, creamier tones with a trio of full-sized ’57 Classic Gibson humbuckers. With these PAF-style pickups, you get maximum 'Bird tones. All else is what you want from a classic 'Bird - original neck-through-body, 9-ply construction with mahogany body wings.

For vintage lovers, you get an improved Lyre vibrato tailpiece. For modern lovers, the Firebird 7 also has optimum precision with its six-a-side headstock carrying Steinberger™ gearless tuners.

The color is Blue Mist, a twist on the classic Gibson Pelham Blue.

The “everse-body Firebird has been beloved since the early ’60s for its radical looks and rich tones. The Firebird 7 takes the elegance of top-flight model and adds fatter, creamier tones with a triple of full-sized ’57 Classic humbuckers. The original neck-through-body, 9-ply construction with mahogany body wings establishes a solid core for optimum resonance and sustain, which translates to everything from thumping rock crunch to singing, throaty blues tones through these great PAF-style pickups.

A Lyre vibrato tailpiece enhances both looks and sonic versatility, while the reversed six-a-side headstock carries Steinberger™ gearless tuners for optimum precision. Add a one-piece rosewood fingerboard with acrylic block markers, traditional Firebird pickguard with phoenix graphic, and wrap it all in a luscious Blue Mist finish, and this is a bird you won’t want to cage.
