What helped me the most.

This worked for me maybe it will help you also
I wanted to start learning the fret board and commit it to muscle memory.
Everyday I would put my snark tuner on to help me find my way and I started on low E then A and so on. I didn't go to the next sting until I had the previous one memorized.
I soon learned how to navigate the whole fretboard and and jump from one spot to another and have it sound good.
It increased my confidence and helped me understand how the same cord can be played in several places.
By learning the fretboard you will start recognizing patterns without even realizing it.
And always having my tuner on with a fresh battery help me always know where I was at and where to go.
