It's a sad day to be sure. I've had a Mac on my desk for all but two of the past 25 years, and that made my job easier and more enjoyable.
He's really such an amazing musician. Just saw a 1960’s era documentary called "Songs of America," on PBS the other day. Really fun to see quality performance footage of Paul and Art.
I would never argue AGAINST a good tube amp, but my 4-yr-old Vox AD30VT has been an awesome first amp for me. I am forever playing around with the amp models, though don't use the onboard affects...
Wow! That sounds pretty much exactly like what I want. The price is about what I would have expected to pay, so saving my pennies. I'll have to put my hands on it.
Let me know what you think...
1. Keyboard (88-key, weighted) with great piano and vintage keys and organs
2. Good quality mic
3. DAW upgrade (Logic or ProTools) from GarageBand
Amen! Imagine how much more I could improve my guitar if I substituted 1/2 the time we spend watching TV playing music. Stress would be reduced as well!
My wife and I watch more than TV than we...
Thanks, Eric.
I'm glad you liked the song -- it sure has been fun to start songwriting. I feel like I'm sort of in the "fingerpainting" stage, but I am loving it.
I'll try micing up the...
Thanks for the comments. I welcome feedback of all kinds. I'm very new at songwriting, so appreciate the chance to learn from others (or just hear what people like or don't like).

Hey all,
I thought I'd share a song that I wrote and performed for my daughter's wedding (which just happened on June 18). It was a great day!
The version that I posted to the link below is...

Robert -- love to get a review from you on this one!
I'm an Ultrasound DS4 user -- and enthusiast.
For the money, the DS4 had all the sound quality, power, inputs, outputs affects, and portability that I was looking for.

I use my M13 with all kinds of effects with my AD30VT set to bypass mode. I have been happy with the sounds (if not the playing).
I'm in. Fingers crossed!
We had a very satisfying weekend, both musically and with family:
Thursday night:
My wife and I had our monthly viewing of Minneapolis-based Steely Dan cover band (appropriately named "Steeling...
Nice video. I find myself listening more to your playing than comparing the sounds, so thanks for the great performances.
One question: Apart from the amp modeling options on this amp, would...
While frustrating, it's refreshing to hear that there are others who experience these kinds of difficulties.
We're in the process of rebuilding our sanctuary to update seating, sound, lighting,...
I need to try one out, but think it would be a great "living room and kitchen" computer for browsing, email and social networking.
A lot better than a netbook or a smartphone for those kinds of...
Nice!
Kudos. Nice performance all around. I've loved this song since I was a kid.

I am also a Moto Droid user and have been quite happy with it overall.
My understanding is that Android 2.1 will be available soon on the Droid (which comes with Android 2.0), so we'll get some...
I've really enjoyed the m13, but have no point of reference since it is my first and only pedal.
Wondered how you think the Screamer and Wah effects hold up to the others that you reviewed on your...
There's some practicial information here (including an acoustics 101 guide (PDF) that I'll be reading at lunch:

Personally, I like what you're doing very much.
You've had some good content feedback, so my suggestion would be to have a lapel mic for your voice on a separate channel from the amp and then...
