Nigel : "Not loud enough" :D
I love this little video. The tone is so dynamic, listen to how many variations he gets just by using volume and pick strength. Awesome.
"Hot Press has learned of the death of Gary Moore. The legendary Belfast-born guitarist died in his sleep last night, while on holiday in Spain."
Probably a heart attack.

Nice little interview (in english) about one of the most inffluential Brazilian bands.
If you wanna hear more of the guys,...
Dang, Hendrix playing Tears of Rage, one of my favorite songs ever! Definitely looks worth it, but I agree the box set is only for hardcore Hendrix fans. I'll wait and let the price go down a bit...

:)
Needs one more to make it one for each string.
I've seen average sized guys beating heavier, over 6' fighters, and I'm not only talking about early UFC (pre-weight class days) but in recent no holds barred ("vale-tudo") championships in Brazil,...
Ahm.. No one here actually believes the video, right? :D
Very well made and entertaining, anyway.
I listened to all the "One by One" album by The Impressions today and the only report I'll make is about the song "Need to Belong to Someone" - classic "Mayfield-Hendrix-esque" rhythm playing, even...
Finally I took some time to research on this and got myself a couple albums by the Impressions. I wanted to focus on Mayfield's earliest works, before Hendrix's 1967 album.
I've found those...
Amazingly detailed work there, though I still prefer the good old plain Fender custom colors :D But really impressive!
If I'm trying a guitar for the first time, playability comes first, I don't care if it's not the greatest tone right there on tap. You can shape the tone later by changing pickups and other stuff....
I think the Tex-Mex doesn't have the plate under the bridge pickup. Some say it adds twang, some say it's there just for grounding...
Twang is mainly technique and the right amp, in my own...
My favorite DVD in my collection. Second place would be the Rory Gallagher Live at Montreux double DVD :)
Top moments to me: Royal Albert Hall 1970, Denmarks's Radio, Acoustic set at Earl's Court...
Yes...you guys can envy me!! :digit
I'm kidding actually... jus' trying to fool myself...didn't work :nope
Most people just listen to the music and don't care to much about watching/paying attention to videos. They are able to identify Beatles songs, they can sing along, but ask the major audience "Who's...
Jimi. Besides the revolutionary music (as if it wasn't enough! :D), whenever they show something about him on TV here they have to mention he was left-handed and had to play the guitar upside-down....
Yes..long time! But hopefully I'll be able to stick around more often now during vacations (there are 2 forums in "Orkut" in which I'm a moderator and co-owner and that's also a cause for my...
Nocaster, Allparts FAT neck...those are 1" thick from 1st to 12th fret.
The SRV neck is chucky (my favorite neck profile ever, by the way), but it's not a Nocaster neck - It's a super comfortable...
I don't think they sound necessarily "better". 9s will give you a thinner tone, but it's easier to bend and in my own experience, they last a little less than 10s. 10's are a little thicker sounding,...
All I know is that our own Robert Renman just bought a CV 50's, and I'm waiting for his demo!
Yeah, awesome guitars :) I just wish they would come in a few more colors.
Arlen's lessons at Gibson are truly great. I check them very often. The slide stuff he has out there is very neat as well.
BIG Congratulations Jimi!!
Please, send us the link for the video when it's ready, if possible :D
Hi Boss!
Sweet guitar, but at that price tag I'd reccomend you to check out the Bajas, Classic Series and Road Worns as well.
Here's the Nashville at MF...
