Congratulations Robert! Finally, I think it's fair to say you've bought a guitar that does justice to your playing (well - apart from that suhr!). I've got to agree with everyone, it sounds great,...
Lev, thanks for that review, and also I must say that I do find mexican neck pocket fits to be pretty variable - all the standards I have played have been worse than many a squier.
Thanks a lot for this confirmation Lev; I've been eyeing this guitar up for some time now, and was wondering if it really is that good. Would you say 390 pounds is a good price for one?
I know for certain that ESP's "Edwards" Les Pauls are truly excellent instruments, so I'm sure that the standard ones they offer are very good as well.
Generally, the higher the number, the brighter the sound - an alnico V will have a brighter sound than a 2 or 3, for example.
Here's a clip of SRV playing a Flying V - it still sounds pretty good:

The thing that surprised me was that though there were definable differences, ALL the settings sounded good to me - having read some discussions on which IC is best I expected some of these to sound...
I'm wondering if the amp it was based on had a 6 inch speaker...if so, then I have no problem with it.
Oh, I say! Deep, lush and beautiful tone + wonderful playing = clip to remember. Well done.
Jimi, by my calculations, 400 euros is around 520 dollars - is the guitar 280 euros (which would around 400 dollars)?
That was great! I've never heard of this man, but I really like his guitar playing, and boy does he get "into" the song.
For me, Hendrix's live performance of little wing has the most emotional guitar solo, with some wonderfully subtle guitar playing and a beautiful singing, almost crying tone. However, there are many...
It's definitely one of my favourites, especially since it produces great tones throughout its gain ranges - from SRV style to Brian May. However, since elevating my amp and setting it at an angle,...
Very impressive - I also didn't know he was the one who created the solo to canon, which many people on youtube have imitated.
Thanks for the link Robert, those videos are great, but I'm not so sure about the actual list...
To be honest, I think 350 dollars is pretty good value for an American made, real mahogany set neck guitar. I'm interested.
Today I tried not just elevating but angling my AD30, and its made a HUGE difference. Whereas before, for instance, the plexi model was unusable, it's now my favourite!

Go down to page to the AV3, which is vintage's top of the range 335 copy. Now, considering how good their basic strat copy was, I would have no doubts in...
Hmm, when they designed this guitar, didn't they consider making it with humbuckers, since it'll be used next to a computer for all its life?
Thanks jimi, I really enjoyed that, although I must agree with tot about "English nerdboys playing "Cotton Fields". Way back in Texycana..."
I definitely think that the fewer winds the more stable the tuning.
Maybe it's because I live in the UK, but I got a reply from the manager that you must use a bank transfer for first payments of expensive items.
Lev, I emailed rockinger and for first payments you must use a bank transfer; if you pay by credit card they will send you an email a few days later saying that you have to use a bank wire.
Today I had the opportunity to play a friend's vintage V6 for a few hours. I had a mexican standard stratocaster to compare it with. The first thing that struck me was that the finish was quite...
