Here's my new Welch WG-65 LP copy. Honeyburst plain top (I'd been GASing for a plain top). Made in China, presumably. Mahogany body and neck, 5/8" maple cap, rosewood fretboard, bone nut. Weighs in...

The DVD is excellent. It was good to hear/see them perform For Your Life for the first public performance. The chemistry was definitely there.
Thanks for posting that, Robert. Great clip. I saw DT in 1990, performing with members of the Allman Bros, and Stephen Stills, at a benefit for former Florida governor Lawton Chiles. I'd never heard...
Holy smokes -- that kid is amazing!
I agree about the emotional intensity on Bell Bottom Blues and the rest of Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs. It's been a long time since I listened to the album in its entirety. I think I am now due!
I'm digging the slide too! Well done, Helliott.
+1 on the Biyang pedal. I find it to be a great pedal with a nice build quality. I wasn't thrilled with the Holy Grail.
Cool, an official release. This will of course be much better than the (quite good) bootleg releases out there on the interwebs, but it seems that the film excludes I Can't Quit You.
Looking...
Thanks, Katastrophie. Makes sense.
I have an opportunity to buy a Randall RT-30 two-channel 2x12 tube amp (apparently similar design to a Matchless or Vox AC-30) which is not working. I asked if the amp powered on and if he knew what...
A lot of us have seen videos of this kid before. He is amazing. And what a great tune to cover!

Thanks, PS. Looks like a great deal.
Interesting topic. I would think that repetition is key. On what I think is a related note, I was recently jamming with this blues band (whose members have much more experience than I do) and I...
I've never heard of that. Did he ask you to deflate the tires on his car as well? :socool
I really like the way that you approached that, Sada,. So many psychological factors/biases otherwise play into instrument preference. Glad that you found a Tele that you like!
Very cool, Steve. Thanks for sharing the photos and your experience. I am a big Wilco fan. I last saw them in Hartford last year and they were great. Solid 3 hour show.
Good music...thanks for posting, PS.
Wow, beautiful photos, Stingx. Thanks for posting them. #2 is stunning.
Thanks, guys. The tremolo block only has two springs on it. I ordered a few springs so I can get the bridge flush with the body and get the guitar in tune.
I had been wanting a black/maple Strat for awhile (thinking either Gilmour's black strat or Blackie), and saw a Craigslist posting for a black/maple Squier Standard on Craigslist. He was asking $65...
For You... Adam Raised a Cain... good post, Steve!
Congrats, BT! I'm glad that you got a true tube amp and you clearly made out well on the trade. Enjoy.
Kurds? No whey! ;-)
Thanks, Tig. Kudos to Taylor!
Does anyone have any opinions on Squier Standard Strats from the early 2000s? I have an opportunity to pick one up cheap. I've wanted a Gilmour-esque black strat for awhile now and this one is black...
