I don't know... I have a few 'Chinese knock-offs' that are really great guitars.
Can't disagree more. Journey is Journey and Slayer is, well, Slayer. If he means "lamer rock meets metal" then I would agree, sort of.
An honest question: If you already have a nice sounding amp, why bother with an emulator? Is it mainly for direct recording?
I tried listening to them and just don't like them. To me, they are in the same category as Dream Theatre.. they're no doubt talented musicians but the music just doesn't rock enough. Different...

It's based upon how the speakers are wired up (series vs. parallel). However, if the cab says 8Ohms like this one:

Sorry. I shouldn't be so silly. Glad I don't owe you a new computer.

Hey Cliff, welcome to The Fret!! :dude
I hardly think this needs pointing out, guitartango was just giving his opinion.

EDIT: Oh, you were kidding.. sorry.
Hey Cliff, Welcome to The Fret. Head on over to the Players section and introduce yourself. I actually ended up getting ride of my M13 and went with individual pedals... however, there are a number...

Megadeth Tones.
I have not tried that but it sounds cool. I'll give it a go. Thanks!
As for 'Decisions, Decisions' there is one easy answer, get both! :dude
I wonder if the reverb is the same one that is already on your El Capistan?
I fixed it for you.
Now, why wouldn't the difference come down to American vs. British parts? After all, haven't you heard the joke as to why the British don't sale televisions.. they haven't found a way to make them...
I don't know, I have a couple of EE degrees myself (and have been shocked many times on the bench) but I don't think I'd try to build an amp. You've just got the stuff, Cho! :dude
I like the JCM800 because of the way these guys make it sound: AC/DC, Zakk Wylde, Kerry King, &c.
I just saw one at a Guitar Center in the states for the same price. Looks like they are unloading them.
Great work! Do you have the schematic to post too?
RIP, Mr. Marshall. He looks like a nice grand dad here.
