http://www.box.net/shared/hke7mcvmd8Johnson Model 999. [usa#991] Serial number 00121. Made by AXL in Shanghai, China. Tri cone resonator. Bell brass body, nickle silver plated. Honduras mahogany neck.

I just added a clip of the guitar using three different slides.

I purchased it used, in Dec 06. From an ebay seller who claimed he used it for a couple of recording sessions. Said to have less than 5 hours use.

Since that time, I can attest to another 5 hours total use. I went to the Bob Brozman site and put very heavy strings on it. Went to Janetdavismusic and got maple/ebony saddles and bone nut blanks. Ordered quarterman cones from Stew-mac. Did a lot of internet searching and re-searching into a faint buzz that I was sure was coming from the cones themselves.

In the last couple of days, while catching a glimpse of it hanging on the wall, I got the idea that just maybe, the tailpiece that holds the butt end of the strings, might be touching the top. I had a piece of thick paper in there and just this evening, I replaced it with a piece of a credit card. Byb-Bye buzz.

I put a set of Medium weight D"addario phos bronze on and it is now, what I call, a playable machine. I only use it in open tunings cause that is what I got it for.

Came with an "el cheapo" gig bag. I will include original saddle [popsicle stick], with three maple/ebony blanks, bone nut blank from Beard guitars. Let me just say that I sent the quarterman cones back to Stew-mac, because I could not tell the difference. They also, looked just like the originals ?? I will include the full series of Bob Brozman instructional DVD's, a $80.00 value. [3 DVD's, 4 hours of material]

The guitar is in excellent condition and playing and sounding great. I am asking $400 plus handling.

    Thanks,,,

    PRICE REDUCTION: $300.00+S/H

Steve - that sounds like a deal... I missed this before, and am almost sorry I've seen it now... I could be headed towards a bout of resonator mania. I can only hope that you sell this soon - to someone else!
