Default Derek Trucks Band on NPR today!

Derek Trucks and his band (with Susan Tedeschi) dropped into the studio at World Cafe Live today and recorded three live tunes. Check it out. Derek's playing is an awe-inspiring experience, and these songs confirm that.

Have only dabbled in slide. I just don't think I am "meant" to play it very well, or very often. Derek Trucks, however, is up there with Eddie Van Halen & Tommy Bolin as one of my favorite players. He just has...a voice.

I saw him first here in LĂ©vis ,Quebec at a big Bar where i use to play ,he was 14 and his father was touring with him and the band.

Everyone was amazed by his sense of music his slide technic & that tone .

Today he is a master , just like Duane in the 60 s , but the thing i like most is he kept this Allman Bros spirit of the Southern Rock Jam Band that is so good live on stage ..

I enjoyed this clip :All i do ..:

O yeah, Derek is one of the all-time great musicians.

A bassist friend of mine went to a show even though she hates "guitar music" & was totally blown away.

She's a rocker, it's the wanking that she can't stand.

    Derek played music.
