They look like Made In China un-authorized rip-offs to me, but what do I know :

I would stear clear myself - get an Agile from rondomusic - at least you could get some support from the seller.

    Again, my 2-cents-plain

I was just in a shop with a "Gibson ES-335". Sunburst, bigsby, gold hardware. Chinese knockoff. Owner was totally up front about it. Took it on trade knowing what it was. The shop owner said the Chinese knock offs are becoming very common and getting harder to spot. He also indicated some of them are actually ok guitars, others are horrid.

These are certainly fakes from China which has been floating around for the last few years. If anyone is going to buy himself a Gibson he better learn how to spot the fakes (getting harder every time the crooks learn something else to change), learn about Gibson's serial number system and all the other little evidences that identifies a real one.

I will also not buy a used SM57 or SM58 either because the fakes are getting really hard to recognize.

Some are sold without case. Gibsons with no case? The prices are less than half that of the equivalent Epiphone in NZ dollars. I'd say fake, very dodgy indeed.

If they're getting harder to spot the fakes, it probably also means the build quality isn't too bad. For 20,000 yen I'd probably buy one, in the knowledge I picked up a decent knockaround guitar. I'd just be concerned whether the other end would actually send the thing if I ordered one.

I clicked on one of the guitars and read the buyer's comments. Man, talk about trouble. Then again, all the telltale signs are there: Seller name: xingyunshangshang, a box with Chinese characters printed all over it in the background (oops: ), grammar indicating English is obviously a second language. And why would the seller also sell Oriental furniture? (oops again. I take back what I said in my earlier post, I wouldn't go anywhere near these (although there was a 3 pickup white LP that did look luverly).

P.S: Please don't take my comments as discriminatory of race (I'm a quarter Chinese myself).
