    Default Dave Kilminster

    Hi all,

Anyone here ever heard of Dave Kilminster? He's not a particularly well-known guitarist, but he blows most other guitarists out of the water in terms of technical skills and range of styles.

From 2006-2008 he toured with Roger Waters, here's a few videos of him playing in Roger's band:

    (2006, with Richie Kotzen Telecaster)

    (2006, first gig with Roger)

(Coachella 2008, with new Suhr Classic T)

He has two solo albums. I have them both and they are both great. You should all go and buy them now! You can get them at:

He's currently on tour playing guitar in the Wetton-Downes iCon project tour.

This is the first song off his first solo album. Why the picture of Joe Satriani? We'll never know!

Yeah, he lipsynched quite a few songs in those shows. His voice isn't what it used to be, and even then it wasn't the greatest. The man's 65 however, he's got to be forgiven for some lipsynching. Personally I don't think it matters, I saw the show in Melbourne in Feb 07 and it was absolutely amazing.

Kilminster is a new name to me. Obviously, he's got chops.

    Relative to Lemmy Kilminster? (Motorhead)
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009
