I must have missed the Grey Whistle Stop. I remember The Old Grey Whistle Test .
There's loads of OGWT material on YouTube. Anyone in a bare tv studio is probably from that show. It ran weekly for 20-odd years iirc.
Got home this afternoon from a trip to Atlanta just in the nick of time to catch "BBC Crown Jewels" on VH1 Classic. They had the "Grey Whistle Stop" show featuring none other than Lynyrd Skynyrd. Ronnie and the boys put on a really good show "across the pond." This had to have been 1975 or so. They only had Rossington and Collins as guitar players, as best as I could tell.
It brought back some sweet memories, especially having lost all but Gary. Hopefully, he'll be able to keep the fire burning for a while.
