    Default Tommy Bolin Private Eyes

    Was at my favorite music store the other day and found this gem in the used vinyl bins: Tommy Bolin's Private Eyes. Tommy played w/the James Gang and Deep Purple. Anybody know anything else about this guy? I'm surprised more isn't heard about him. His solo work is great!

    There is a new release of Tommy Bolin material coming soon called "Whips and Roses 1". Sadly, Bolin died Dec. 4, 1976, alone in a hotel room in Miami, Fla. of a heroin overdose, one day after opening for Jeff Beck, one of his own guitar heroes.
