Hey Lurcher, welcome in! Maybe you can get the Gibson forum rocking. We don't seem to get many posts in there.
Hi guys (and girls?)
Just found you and looking to share advice and experiences along the way.
I'm an ancient hippy blues/rocker with occasional wanderings into metal, folk and (shhhh country)
Owned and played some nice guitars over the years. I prefer not to pigeon-hole genres or kit you can play it on, 'cos metal on an electric 12-string is awesome.
Biggest influence was a guy called Joe Konas who I used to watch regularly in the Marquee Club in London.
I have a strong preference for Gibson and related Guitars, when compared with that other famous company, but I like Fender amps.
That's enough bunny from me. If you want to know anything just ask away.

The Law of Gravity is nonsense. No such law exists. If I think I float, and you think I float, then it happens.

Hi Robert. Would that I could but I wouldn't feel right as I don't have one at the moment. In the past I had a '74 Black Beauty (P90's) and as soon as I finished paying for it (too heavy for long gigs) I swapped it for a '61 LP Custom SG shape, which was my lover for a few years. I had a nice Pack Leader (Google it - Whitstable guitars) stolen from me in the eighties (it will turn up one day) and consoled myself with a '71 SG DeLuxe. As usual, creditors made me sell that (but at a great profit) and I majored on a modded Yammy RGX211 for many years. Just recently I got a Cort EVL-K6 as the best value/spec anywhere. So I have the middle to hard end covered but a LP type kit might be an option next year. I have a LP type 12-string which is fun, an ancient Shaftsbury Rikki bass and an unbranded mandolin. Oh, and an Oakman electro acoustic.

I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009
