Don't the Flangers live next door to the Simpsons?
....I bring you my build of the BYOC Flanger. This is actually a beta kit, though the commercial kit should be available very soon. Keith Vonderhulls came up with a clever way to incorporate the different flanger circuit approaches of two classic analog flangers--MXR and A/DA--in a single effect in a switchable configuration. So if you're not a flanger-phobe, this is a very flexible one with a ton of interesting sounds.

I've heard of MXR before, but not A/DA. What would you say the difference in tone is between the two?

While the MXR design uses a single delay chip and produces the "textbook" whooshy sound flangers are known for, A/DA took quite a different approach, using two delay chips in parallel and mixing the two signals out of phase. This gives a different tone, more lush in character with an extra dimension of modulation. Keith refers to it as "3-dimensional", which seems like a good way to describe it. IMO, not as generally useful as the MXR sound, but capable of generating more complex and interesting sounds.
