Sounds pretty darn good, and not all that much more than a Deluxe Reverb reissue since the Fender price hikes kicked in.
I'm always looking for something different and found some great tones coming from the Zinky Blue Velvet.
Don't really know much about them.
Anyway, I like the tones from this dude's Schecter through the Zinky. Great Overdrive tones!
I'm thinkin' the little dude likes it too.

Another lousy parent of the year award.

Pretty sweet looking. You aren't allowed to have one unless you have shag carpeting
Here's the Velveteen
If you love it with all your heart, the velvet wears off & it becomes a real amph.
I pick a moon dog.
I am!! I talk to Bruce from time to time and am a big fan of his Fender designs in particular.
I own a pair of Prosonics
A Black Corona combo that is tweeked out with USA Silvania, GE Blackplate and Blackburn Mullard pre tubes. It is also converted to a 1/12 from the 2/10's as Zinky intended these to be built.
I have a RED LO true one off CS amp that Bruce Zinky handbuilt. It is a Prosonic head with reverb that runns the 120 watt power section from the Tonemaster.I bought it off Brad Whitford and it was used on the Areosmith Crazy tour and in the studio.
here is a clip of big red with my 95 Washburn MG 122 and a Duncan Custom 5

Even the STUPID LOUD 120 watt Prosonic head I have is capable of pulling killer crunch tones at whisper quiet levels you can easily talk over. That is a consistant design trait with Zinky's stuff that you can get killer tones at super low levels. Note how close his spoken voice level and the guitar level is I would bet this is being recorded at between 80-90 db!Originally Posted by just strum
