Sid was not an original member of the band. Glen Matlock played bass originally (from 75-77). The band that toured as recently as 2008 is the original Sex Pistols (Matlock, John Lydon, Steve Jones and Paul Cook).Originally Posted by Kazz

I remember seeing an ad in the back pages of some music magazine a few years ago when Glen Matlock was doing his solo gig. He billed himself as "The original Sex Pistols bass player".
