    <clip from gibson>

    Epiphone announces the release of the new limited edition “Oh, Pretty Woman” 12-string acoustic guitar. Produced in close cooperation with the legendary singer/songwriter Roy Orbison’s estate, this signature guitar is based upon Roy’s own 1962 Epiphone “Bard” 12-string acoustic guitar.
    The Epiphone limited edition “Oh, Pretty Woman” 12-string Bard outfit will be officially unveiled on Roy’s birthday, April 23rd, at the Gibson Guitar Studio in London, England. The Roy Orbison limited edition 12-string package has a U.S. MSRP of $1,332 and will be available at authorized Epiphone retailers in September 2009.

    I'm no fan of signature guitars but a signature case
    Electric: Fat strat > Korg PB > TS7 > DS1 > DD-20 > Cube 60 (Fender model)

    Acoustic: Guitar > microphone > audience

    Roy was certainly one of the best! Such a voice!

    I think this guitar will obviously have a limited market - probably extreme die-hard Roy fans who have alot of extra cash I sure hope his estate isn't selling out on his legacy.

    Not a bad MSRP, though, for a 12-string acoustic - IF it's a quality instrument. Probably street for around $999. Will be interesting to read some reviews when it hits.
