Crack in 80's Squier Strat
I just bought an 80's Squier Strat from a pawnshop and I took off the pickguard and noticed a large crack in the body right by the lower bridge pin. The guitar has a locking trem system so there must have been alot of pressure put on that spot. I think it can be fixed with some wood dust and glue. Then I'll just not use the whammy bar ...I'm no good with it anyhow. I was so happy to find this Squier Strat...it has a sweet maple neck. It is the "E" series, made in Japan and is very well made. I dont think the locking trem system was set up right on the guitar so something had to give. I ordered some Reverend strat style pickups for it...Reverend is selling there overstock pickups and pickguards. You can check out myspace to see some pictures of me with my Reverend and new strat.
