IMO, you haven't heard little wing until you've heard the live performance at the royal albert hall - to me it's just far better than the studio recording.

I like the studio recording, but this one is so passionite that I like it better also.

    Trem & Tinky Winky:

Oh I`ve heard that Little Wing version more than a year ago for the first time.. I didn`t knew THAT one was THIS ONE!!

Ah guys.. check out this.. instrumental studio outtake from AXis.. with a more dirty, agressive and longer solo.

anymore Little Wing versions by Hendrix himself???? I can`t stand all those guys playing SRV based versions with 7 minutes of solo and repeating that "country-ish lick" a thousand times...

I must say, although SRV is one of my favourite guitarists, I think his little wing misses the "point" - it doesn't have any of the subtlety of the hendrix version and that was one of my favourite features of the original.

I'm not that crazy about the SRV version... without the lyrics it sounds empty to me.

About the timeout... if you can find another place I can upload the file where everyone can download it without having to pay please let me know and I'll use that one from now on. Uploading.com is slow when downloading but I've never had a problem with them.

Thanks Trem - I installed a gateway at the home. The wife has her computer set up in another room and using wireless. Being a computer dummy, I will need to see if the router was timing me out. Warren stated he would make me copies and mail them to me.
