    i like the black, its more subtle. i also have a thing for black pearl so....

    Definitely gold. The pickups are already black so putting a black pickguard on as well is overkill IMHO. But then, you should go with whatever YOU prefer. After all, it's YOUR guitar.

    for now it is staying gold.

    Someone had suggested black and sent me the photo shop pic with black, but looking at it some more I like the gold.

    I think it was the idea of an inexpensive mod to take away the growing gas for another guitar - it wouldn't have worked.
